Leadership at Chick-fil-A

It's not about the title

Leadership at Chick-fil-A Frankford Road is about so much more than a title. True leaders are those in any area of the business who set the example in word and action.

Having a title doesn't make you a leader.

You are a leader when you have people following you, not because they have to, they follow you because they trust you and they know you will help them succeed.

This is a different mindset than you might find on some teams. At Chick-fil-A Frankford Road, we value using our leadership for the benefit of others. We've found that we are most fulfilled not by focusing on ourselves, but instead by helping others achieve their goals and dreams.

Whether it's working with another team member to help them through a difficult life situation or caring for a guest who is battling a debilitating illness, we want to serve together to enrich the lives of others.

Leaders Dream

Your Dream is Our Dream

Great leaders are never satisfied with the status quo. They're always asking what's next. They're always dreaming about a better tomorrow.

What about you? What do you dream about?

Ever dreamed of owning your own business?

That was our owner's dream when he worked as a Chick-fil-A Team Member in 2001 in East Texas. After several years of gaining restaurant experience and working with his Operator, Ryan was given the opportunity to own his own Chick-fil-A Restaurant in 2011.

That was also the dream of one of Ryan's former leaders, Luke. Luke worked with Ryan while completing his degree and went on to becoming an award-winning owner of his own Chick-fil-A restaurant in Central Texas in 2017.

Leaders Grow

Growth is a Mindset

Would you consider yourself an opportunist? Do you see things as obstacles or opportunities? Great leaders know that life is about growing and changing, for the good of the leader and the good of those following.

Obstacles Are Opportunities

It's our desire at Chick-fil-A Frankford Road to lead and work in such a way that we seize all opportunities to grow, change and improve. When we spend resources to do so, it isn't a cost, it's an investment.

When challenges and obstacles arise in the business, we don't shrink back, we consider these things opportunities to show who we are and what we can accomplish together as a team.

Always Be Growing

In September of 2017, Dan Cathy (CEO of Chick-fil-A), published an article called Forever Curious. In the article he calls for leaders who are never satisfied and are always wanting to improve.

I believe the mark of the true professional is perpetual curiosity; this hunger to keep looking, keep searching, keep practicing. Their training never ends.
— Dan Cathy
